Transport yourself back about 3000 years, to the Iron Age, and prepare a meal as they did back then. We will light a fire in the yard of the Najger homestead in Dolenja vas near Cerknica and prepare an abundance of delicious dishes in the old-fashioned way using ancient pots. We will be guided by archaeologist and cook Polona Janežič, and we will enjoy:
- stew with legumes, grains and wild herbs,
- fresh cheese with herbs,
- dumplings filled with fresh cheese,
- raw balls made of hazelnuts and berries,
- baked pears,
- meat on a spit with honey,
- smal loaves of bread.
Preparing food in the old-fashioned way will remind us to eat seasonally, locally, to produce our own food, and to preserve it for times when it is not so easily accessible. And to gather during its preparation, because that is what connects people and strengthens communities.

In case of available places, it will be possible to participate in the activity even without prior registration, in case of filling up, priority will be given to those who have registered.
