Indulge in the exquisite flavours of Notranjska cuisine.
On Saturday, 16th November, we invite you to a unique culinary evening in the charming setting of Notranjska hiša, a former »furman's« guesthouse in Selšček. Three contestants from this season's MasterChef, including Andreja from Loška dolina and Luka, the winner of the 10th season, will prepare a four-course menu inspired by the flavours of Notranjska. Among other delights, you'll have the chance to taste kaura, as prepared by Andreja on MasterChef, and the dessert will be a modern interpretation of the traditional Cerknica drunken štruklji. The wine pairing will be provided by Martina Pušnik.
Menu:
Amuse-bouche: Profiterole with homemade pâté
Cold starter: Porchetta, flatbread, apple and fennel gel, kohlrabi
Warm starter: Kohlrabi soup, dumplings with sauerkraut and Carniolan sausage, kohlrabi crisps
Main course: Slow-cooked beef, parsnip purée, leek, freeze-dried beetroot, beef demi-glace, spruce oil
Dessert: Štruklji with cottage cheese and tarragon, raisin and mulled wine gel, cinnamon sauce
