Take a walk around Selšček and enjoy in the homely environment of the Notranjska house.
Take a walk around Selšček – the hometown of Slovenian painter Maksim Gaspari. The village received recognition from the Tourist Association of Slovenia for the best village core in the year 2020. There is a bust of the painter in the centre of the village, next to which you will learn about his life and work with Robert Kužnik, the local guide. On a walk through the village, you will admire special house numbers that bear the painter's motifs instead of classic house numbers.
We will finish with a meal in the restored traditional Notranjska house, with the year 1884 on the portal. Notanjska house has a wood-fired stove, a brick oven and other old objects, which will allow us to relive the life of our grandparents or our childhood.

*How to get to Selšček?
From the highway, take the exit Unec exit turn left towards Unec, Rakek and Cerknica. Before Cerknica at the roundabout, drive towards Begunje pri Cerknici, and in Begunje pri Cerknici turn right (in the direction of Rakitna). Selšček is the first village you will come to from Begunje pri Cerknici.
