How to survive in the wilderness?

It will take place again on May 25th. Also we invite you to check other events that will take place in the mystical land of Lake Cerknica.
Imagine you get lost in the wilderness and you are without everything… On top of that your mobile phone has no signal! Do you know how to survive?
With the experienced instructor of survival in nature, Laris Žurga, you will learn how to find food and prepare a nutritious meal from what nature has to offer during a trip to the forest by Lake Cerknica. You will learn how to make a rope from willow bark or nettles, how to make a stable and safe bivouac from rain or night (without purchased accessories such as a rope), how to light a fire without a lighter, how to hide if you feel threatened, which edible plants you can use to satisfy your hunger and how to find your way in the forest.
You will find out all this on a short, approximately 2 kilometers long walk along the Lake Cerknica, and you will be taken back to the starting point by a lojtrnik (hay carriage ride).
Duration: from 10:00 to 13:30 (3,5 h)
Meeting point: Dolenje Jezero, Visitor center Lake Cerknica (N 45.77283, E14.35748)
Guide: Laris Žurga
Necessary equipment: hiking shoes, suitable clothes according to weather, sunscreen, mosquito and ticks repellent, drink, pen and notebook, umbrella (in case of the rain).
Suitable for: everyone older than 4 years old
Price: includes guiding and hay carriage ride

In case of available places, it will be possible to participate in the activity even without prior registration, in case of filling up, priority will be given to those who have registered.

Participants of the Guided experiences can benefit from a 25% discount on tickets for the Visitor center Lake Cerknica!
The discount will be calculated upon your invoice and details (first name, last name) with which you registered for the Guided experiences. You can redeem it until the end of 2025.
Without further notice, you can also visit the Križna cave (every day at 15:00, weekends at 11:00 and 15:00) and the Visitor center Lake Cerknica.
