Get to know Gaspari's life-size national nativity scene.
In December, visit Selšček, the birthplace of Slovenian painter Maksim Gaspari, and experience a magical experience - Gaspari's National Nativity Scene. The life-size nativity scene attracts crowds of visitors from Slovenia and abroad. There are 70 figures depicting the Holy Family in a stable, national costumes, everyday people's lives, various animals and the three Holy Kings. Experience the charm of Christmas and New Year traditions and travel back in time to the artist's imagination.
You can visit the Gaspari's National Nativity Scene from Friday, 15 December 2023, until Saturday, 6 January 2024, with the festive lights on every day between 17:00 and 20:00.
