What happens when the cave ceiling collapses?
Join us on an exploration of the Rakov Škocjan valley - a picturesque karst valley formed from a karst cave by the hollowing and collapsing of the ceiling. On a five-kilometre hike between two natural bridges that rise 40 metres above the ground, you will get to know the karst phenomena and cool off in the shade of the trees that surround the valley along the Rak stream.
The meeting point is at 10 A.M. at the parking lot next to the Rakov Škocjan hotel, where you will meet with your local guide Natalija Vrhunc. From here you will follow the educational path, on which you will see the Big and Little Natural Bridge, the valley through which the Rak stream flows, the ruins of the church of St. Cantianus, after which the valley got its name, springs that spew water after the rain and many other things.Towards the end of the circular hike, a tasty snack with wild plants and local produce will be waiting for you at the Little Natural Bridge, where you will be able to sum up your impressions and socialise a little more before you leave.

Necessary equipment: hiking shoes, suitable clothes according to weather, drink, mosquito and ticks repellent.
