Discover: Meet the dormouse

Curious as dormice, we will explore the forest paths by the Lake Cerknica and learn about the dormouse and its mysterious nocturnal adventures.  On the 4 km long walk we will get acquainted with the long and rich tradition of dormouse hunting in the karst forests and its importance for the local population, as well as about the dormouse in surnames, proverbs, riddles, etc. To make everything really about the dormouse, you will also take home a dormouse gift.

Duration: from 10:00 to 12:30 (2,5 h)
Meeting point: observation platform Malnšče (between Gorenje Jezero and Laze pri Gorenjem Jezeru; N 45.72848, E 14.40509)

Necessary equipment: suitable clothes according to weather, hiking shoes, mosquito and ticks repellent, sunscreen, drinks
Suitable for: everyone older than 4 years old

In case of available places, it will be possible to participate in the activity even without prior registration, in case of filling up, priority will be given to those who have registered.
